The Oldest Boy - The Fall of the Blackbird
The anarchy was unassuming at first
Shadowed and beyond mending more
The fallacy and the treachery dressed in emerald green
And not a single soul knew where I was buried
The oldest boy should be in the lead but the alchemy deceives
The pretender prince sat happily with his future queen who was meant for me
And the oldest boy had to be dealt with patiently
What a crime to the soul was he
There was an understanding
She knew where my rage came raging
Refused to let go of her lover
She found a way through the land mines for them
The oldest boy shouldn't be so naive but the alchemy deceives
She was the captain of a sinking ship and knew how to leave
He's obliviated in his sleep, sees a different world flawless and free
And the oldest boy decided he no longer was going to sit quietly
I wasn't alone in the catastrophical boom
Kingdom come came and impaired his ego
I watched as he sailed away cradled in her arms
And for a second I felt choked yet unharmed
The sentiment rich but the sides switched
Hollow and uneven they fought bewitched
The mayhem was festive but the wounds disruptive
And when the midnight sky said goodbye, new bridges were built
The oldest boy mustn't be so weak but the alchemy deceives
The irony of the silent king will be heard across the seven seas
With padded shoulders and armoured trees the ghosts begin to scream
And soul of the oldest boy will rest in heavenly peace.
