Diamonds - STARDUST

Maybe we could go back to where it all started 
Undo the last six months and fix the tiles where we fell
Unbroken but painted with indentations of the floor
We're no longer diamonds in the rough but cheap jewelry buried like gold

Sadness is an aphrodisiac and the pressure made us shine
And once we lost all of that, we had nothing to keep us tied
The journey to every silver lining is what mattered the most
Now we're diamonds flying high, looking for another forever home

A narrow miss can take you places you've never even dreamed of 
We're electric souls floating into abyss borderline abysmal
When we step into the deep, sail into an ocean of galaxies
We'll just be like everyone else, tarnished polish over and over again
