Chivalry - Kaleidoscope

Hey it's getting a little too late

I've been waiting for sometime now

I've been feeling a little worn out

Hey what did you see in me anyway?

I get the feeling I've been used

No one likes half opened perfumes

I'm trying to look past all the miscommunication 

The noises in my head tend to scream in unison

That may be I was wrong and you wouldn't say it anyhow

If this chivalry, I don't see it helping me out or you

Hey how have you been? 

Congratulations, you seem to have a lot to celebrate

While I'm trying to unwind a little too much these days

Your golden light massacred my loneliest midnights

And stole every dreamless sleep like it was your birthright

Now I'm stuck in some in between of a should have and a has been

Nobody wants that, no matter what you say

If this is chivalry, I don't see it making you stay

If I'm being honest with you

I find myself replaying the last conversation we had 

And trying to change some of the things I said

In the hopes that it might have a different end 

And I'd be staring into the sunset with you instead I'm wallowing in my own misery, and I want you to save me from self incineration

And maybe a little chivalry isn't dead.
