Sanditon - Stories From the Afterlife
Based On: Sanditon by Jane Austen
I can't bring myself to remember
All the flowers that died 'cause of the storm you brought in
I can't bring myself to be clever
Your luminous glow might blind me forever
If I had looked in the other direction
Would our eyes meet like the sea and the sky
If you had looked in the other direction
Would your eyes sparkle like the stars on a dark night
You're driven by ambitious forte
I'm driven by meeting you everywhere
A moment alone in a crowded room
A thousand stories told with just one look
You're driven by fight club winnings
I'm driven by tending to your wounds
Behind closed doors in solitude
I'm gratified by your colourful gloom
I can't bring myself to remember
All the sweet nothings that fuelled my pride
It won't hurt to be forever
Surrounded by grief in the midst of a joyful ride
If I had looked in the other direction
Would you own up to spilling your wine
If you had looked in the other direction
Would I have been so accustomed to losing my mind
You're driven by ambitious forte
I'm driven by meeting you everywhere
A moment alone in a crowded room
A thousand stories told with just one look
You're driven by fight club winnings
I'm driven by tending to your wounds
Behind closed doors in solitude
I'm gratified by your colourful gloom
Hailing from a village in East England
I crossed paths with you in Sanditon
Under constructed resorted views
Sea bathing like handmaids let loose
Time flies closer to the sun than expected
Drama unfolds like the square in your pocket
The longer I stay, I realize I'm in a maze
That is supposed to lead me astray
If I had looked in the other direction
Would I find you waiting for me at the beach
If you had looked in the other direction
Would I be the only one who could see
That you're driven by ambitious forte
I'm driven by meeting you everywhere
A moment alone in a crowded room
A thousand stories told with just one look
You're driven by fight club winnings
I'm driven by tending to your wounds
Behind closed doors in solitude
I'm gratified by your colourful gloom.
