Ghost Town - MASTERPIECE CHAPTER 6
So I guess we run this town
Empty promises and doubt
Isn't the silence getting too loud
We've walked this road a million times
Our footprints stain the townhouse tiles
They've all changed and grown up
They don't remember who lashed out
If we can't learn to let go
We might as well become their ghosts
Your hands are bleeding now
From holding on too long
To the sword that cut you down
Now we're here all bled out
They can see right through us now
As we shamelessly bow
The curtains close but there is no crowd
How long are we going to act this out
If we can't learn to let go
We might as well become their ghosts.
There's no one left to haunt
I see you roaming alone in this house
There's a skeleton in the foyer
It's like looking in a mirror
Feels like eternity
I think it's time I leave
If I have to walk this road alone
I know where I'm going to go
Somewhere I know I can be
Truly and completely free
If we can't learn to let go
We might as well become their ghosts
